Bagan accommodation guide

Bagan offers a plethora of choices when it comes to accommodation, but it’s worth pointing out that there are two areas to choose from; Old Bagan and New Bagan. Most of the hotels in Old Bagan are spread out and as such, feel a lot more personal and laid back. Most, but not all are located close to local eateries, which means you still have the benefit of being able to explore in the evenings. Most importantly, the hotels here are a lot closer to the main temples, making them a convenient base from which to explore on e-bike, or by foot. The borders between Old and New Bagan are becoming increasingly blurred however, so rather than suggesting one area over another, we thought it would be more useful to provide a list of our favourite accommodation instead.
